Hello August!

Hi Mini Women!

This is going to be a short post to kick off the month of August, but don’t you worry – we’ve got lots of good content coming up!

But Leslie and I think we need another poll!  Tell us in the comments – what do you want to hear about?  Give us some topics that interest you or you want to learn more about.  We want to hear from you!  It can be anything.  We can’t wait to hear what’s on your mind.

We’re doing a Mini Makers post next week!

For those of you who are new, Mini Makers is when you girls send us your creativity, and we put it proudly on display!  A picture you’ve drawn, a photo you’ve taken, a poem you’ve written – it’s all fair game.  Short stories and poems need to be 150 words or less.

Submissions are due by Sunday, August 5th at 8am est. Send your submissions to tribeletelder@gmail.com. You can put August Mini Makers in the subject line so we can grab it right away!

We are so excited to see what you’ve got up your creative sleeves!

Until next Wednesday,

Love from Hannah, Leslie and Asher!

  1. Awesome! Maybe do posts about growing up (maturing) without losing who you are???
Sorry if that’s a bad idea but i wanted to come up with something.
    Larryn!!! 🙂 ❤

    • Larryn, that’s a great idea! ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤ ❤
I would like to have some posts about boys, because that's what I'm struggling with.
There is a boy, who I have known for almost four years. When I first met him, he asked me how old I was, and after establishing that he was slightly older than I was, we went our own ways.
Maybe a month after that, he started playing with my hair, and when I told him to stop, he denied doing it, even though he was right behind me. Nothing more happened for a long time.
The funny part is that years later I accidentally hit him with a toy, and he started flirting with me again.
The sad part is that some time after this, I found out that he also flirts with another girl, and seems to like her a little more, and she is in love with him …. However, he is disappointed if I can't go somewhere, and tries to be with me, so I think he is trying to find out what he likes in a girl, but the problem is that I'm jealous of the other girl …………………
In short, I want to keep on being friends, but I'm jealous of the girl he likes a little better. :/

So, I would love it it you girls would just tell me if you think I should drop the friendship, try to be a little tougher on the inside, and still be friends, or what.
      Idea #2
Posts about cool, healthy snacks, and stuff like that.
      Thanks a bunch,

      • Yes! Great idea! There is this boy and us and our families have been friends since we were little, he is two years older than me. We like each other and we flirt a lot with each other and then also have conversations like we’re friends. It’s been totally healthy and just practice for when we’re older, until one day we were inside the gym while our parents were at the pool that was there and I was talking about sports I’ve tried and he said,” You should try cheerleading.” And I was like, “nah” and then he said, “I’d love to see you in the outfit.” I said nothing and then after that then we we had to leave. What did he mean by that?

      • Hannah, maybe he was saying he would be proud of you for trying a new sport. Another possibility is that he could have been saying it as a compliment. As in, he thought you had a nice figure, but wasn’t sure how to say that. 😉

    • There is a boy in my youth group who I think might like me and I know he likes another one of my friends. Well, all my friends says he likes me. Guys can be so hard to read. So, I understand girls!! I am glad we are all in this together.

  2. I know, especially when you don’t know if a boy is going on a roundabout way of asking for your phone number, of just asking silly questions! 😉

    • Beth, I so agree! We’d play on Mine craft servers together and he said that it would be easier to talk on the phone than using chat and so we would talk on the phone and he would always say that his computer was slow. So we’d talk for a long time. And sometimes it ‘wouldn’t work at all’ according to him! So we’d just talk instead. And now we don’t even play Mine craft anymore and we’ll just talk on the phone for fun. It’s funny how guys work 😄

  3. It can be hard trying to decipher what a boy means! Prayer is super important when thinking about boys too. Just wondering, Beth, do you like birds? Because a lot of your photos are of birds 🙂 We feed them in my backyard ❤

    • I agree, praying is really important when thinking about boys! I need a reminder now and then! 🙂
I love birds! ❤ ❤ ❤ Just so you know, my profile picture is of a Harpy eagle. I didn't take the picture, though.
